Wedding flyers

A wedding flyer announces the date and gets a reply: pick a restrained template with the names in large type, the date, the venue and an RSVP deadline. The rest belongs on the sign-up page.

40 templates for this occasion. Pick one, then change the title, colours, photo or language in the editor. The events shown are fictitious.

How do you choose a wedding flyer?

For a save-the-date, a typographic template with very little on it reads at once on a phone. For a full invitation, a photo of the venue or the couple sets the tone, provided the names stay legible on top of it.

Look at the template at thumbnail size, the way guests will see it in a message thread: if the date disappears, choose another.

What goes on a wedding flyer?

  • The names, first.
  • The date, and the part of the day (ceremony, drinks, dinner).
  • The town, and the name of the venue if guests will need to look it up.
  • The RSVP deadline.
  • The link to reply, never a phone number on its own.

How do you keep it legible?

No more than two typefaces: one for the title, one for reading. Light text on a dark background needs more contrast than you would expect; a busy photo behind the text calms down with a colour overlay, which the editor offers.

Examples of opening lines

  • “We're getting married on 14 June. Come and celebrate with us.”
  • “Save the date: Camille and Hugo, Saturday 14 June, Lyon.”
  • “Please reply by 15 May.”
  • “One day, two families, one long table.”

Frequently asked questions

When should you send a wedding invitation flyer?
At least six weeks before the date for guests nearby, and several months ahead for anyone travelling far. Our guide on when to send invitations has the full timeline.
Do you need separate flyers for the save-the-date and the invitation?
It is clearer. A save-the-date fits in four lines (who, when, where, reply by); the invitation adds the programme and where to stay. You can start from the same template and change the text.
Can the flyer be written in French?
Yes. The language is changed in the editor, title included. For guests who read both languages, make two versions rather than one cramped bilingual text.
Can these templates serve as printed wedding stationery?
They are made for invitations sent by email or shared in a messaging app. For print, export the image and check the resolution with your printer.
