Tasting flyers

A tasting flyer says what is being tasted, who is leading it, when and where, and how many places there are. A photo of a glass, a bottle or a board gives the subject before anyone reads a word.

How do you choose a tasting flyer?

Photo templates show the product: a glass, a cellar, a table. For a producer's evening, a photo of the place tells the story of the house better than a neutral background.

For a tasting in several rounds, pick a template with a free text area, where you can list the wines, cheeses or chocolates.

What goes on a tasting flyer?

  • What is being tasted, named precisely (Loire wines, Madagascan chocolate).
  • Who leads the tasting.
  • The date, the time and the approximate length.
  • The venue and the number of places.
  • The age notice if alcohol is served, and the RSVP deadline.

How do you keep it legible?

The product named in the title, everything else small. Avoid text over a glass or bottle: choose a template where the photo leaves a quiet area.

Examples of opening lines

  • “Five Loire wines, one evening, twelve places.”
  • “Taste the new vintage with us on 12 November at the cellar.”
  • “A guided tasting led by the winemaker.”
  • “Please drink responsibly. Reply by 5 November.”

Frequently asked questions

Should alcohol be mentioned on the flyer?
If you serve alcohol, add the responsible-drinking notice that applies where you are, and say the event is for adults only. For the exact wording, check the official rules in your country.
How many places should you plan?
That depends on the room and how you serve. Set the capacity on the sign-up page: beyond it, requests go on a waiting list.
Can you sell the tasting through Carton Blanc?
No, Carton Blanc does not take payments from guests. If the tasting is paid, show the price on the flyer and collect it another way.
Which photo should you choose?
A photo of your own product or venue, in good light. The editor accepts your own images.
